Fancy
First on our list is Alpenglow Stube. We love this place, not only for its unique food but the fact that this meal offers an entire dining experience. For starters, this restaurant is only accessible by gondola. It’s a great way to start off your meal; you get some time to enjoy the mountains from a completely different angle. Once you arrive at this restaurant, you trade in your shoes for big fluffy comfortable slippers. The restaurant describes their menu as contemporary cuisine with a Bavarian accent. The only downside to this dining experience is that it can be pricey; the restaurants seven-course option will run you $95.
Another unique dining experience offered in Keystone is the one at Ski Tip Lodge. This restaurant is located in a bed and breakfast that used to be a stagecoach shop. It offers a cozy atmosphere and unique service. Their menu changes depending on the season but you can catch specialties like blackberry and sage marinated Muscovy duck breast or achiote grilled kurobuta pork chop. Ski Tip Lodge is also a bit pricey; they charge $70 for their four course option.
Italian
For those nights when you’re craving Italian but pizza just won’t cut it, check out Luigi’s Pasta House. This Italian restaurant offers family style dining using its own family recipes for everything on the menu. They offer many traditional Italian dishes but include more fresh ingredients than are traditionally found in Italian American restaurants. An entrée here will cost you about $20. If you want to check out this restaurant but save a few dollars, they now have a lunch menu with some favorites at a lower price and that come in smaller portions.
Casual
If you’re looking for a more casual dining experience and are craving pizza, check out Pizza 101. This eatery is located in Snowdance Plaza across from the Goat Tavern. You can find all of your favorite pizza varieties here and some house creations. If your day on the mountains has left you completely exhausted, no need to worry, Pizza 101 also offers free delivery.
If you’re in the mood for a more casual dining experience or are looking for a great place to grab brunch, check out Haywood Café. Located off Us-6, this restaurant has all of the pub food you could imagine and is known for its bloody marys. Haywood Café also offers a great happy hour with $5 food specials and drink specials for $4 and under.
